Terms of Use

These terms govern use of Clinton County Court Docket. Visiting its pages, using a search tool, or reading its content means accepting these conditions. Anyone who does not accept them should not use the resource.

NO FCRA USE. Clinton County Court Docket is privately operated and unaffiliated with a government agency or court. It is not a consumer reporting agency. Neither this resource nor its advertising partners provides a service for credit decisions, employment screening, tenant screening, insurance eligibility, or any other purpose regulated by the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA).

1. What This Website Is

Clinton County Court Docket is a private reference site. It is not part of the Clinton County Clerk's Office, 29th Judicial Circuit Court, 65A District Court, Probate Court, MiCOURT, MiFILE, or another government office. It does not maintain official dockets, schedule hearings, or file documents.

The resource directs readers to the offices and systems that hold local court records. The Clinton County Clerk / Clerk of the Circuit Court maintains Circuit civil, criminal, and family files. The 65A office maintains its own district Register of Actions. MiCOURT Case Search is the public search path, while MiFILE is the electronic filing system for participating courts and authorized filers.

2. Informational Use Only

Content is general information, not an official docket, court order, or legal advice. Court-file access in Michigan follows MCR 8.119, and electronic filing and official record treatment are addressed by MCR 1.109. Michigan FOIA, MCL 15.231 et seq., does not replace a court-file request because the judiciary and court records are excluded from the ordinary FOIA public-body route. A public online display can be incomplete, restricted, or out of date. A record, setting, filing deadline, or case outcome must be verified with the court or clerk that holds the case.

3. Rules for Using This Site

By using this resource, a visitor agrees not to:

  • Violate a federal, Michigan, or local law.
  • Use information from the resource to stalk, threaten, or harass another person.

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

Clinton County Court Docket is not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA. It does not create consumer reports, credit reports, or background reports. Users may not use information from this resource or a linked tool to make a decision regulated by the FCRA, including a decision about credit, employment, tenant screening, insurance eligibility, licensing, permits, or government benefits.

  • Do not use the resource to decide whether to hire or dismiss a person.

  • Do not use it to decide creditworthiness or insurance eligibility.
  • Do not use it to decide eligibility for licenses, permits, or public programs.
  • Do not use it for another activity covered by the FCRA.

The FCRA limits above apply even when a docket entry or court record is otherwise public.

5. No Legal Advice

Nothing on this resource is legal advice. It describes public routes to Clinton County court information but cannot explain how a charge, claim, order, rule, or deadline affects a particular matter. A Michigan-licensed attorney can provide advice about a specific situation.

6. Accuracy Is Not Guaranteed

Content is provided as is. No promise is made that every page is complete, current, uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that an outside search result is accurate. Court dockets change as filings are entered, hearings are set or moved, and records are restricted, dismissed, amended, or transferred. Nothing here is an official statement from a court or clerk.

  • Information can change without advance notice.
  • External portal availability can change at any time.
  • A public search result may omit a protected or restricted record.
  • An outside provider's result may be incomplete or mismatched.

Confirm a docket entry, court setting, payment amount, or court-record request directly with the office that keeps it.

7. Third-Party Services and Links

Links can lead to county clerk pages, Michigan court portals, MiCOURT, MiFILE, legal-aid resources, or outside search services. Each destination operates separately. Clinton County Court Docket does not control its content, data practices, pricing, availability, or terms. Review the destination's conditions before using it.
